Halifax, Nova Scotia

Here are my photos from walking around/driving thru Halifax. I was very lucky to have met a local, Nina, who graciously gave me a history tour of Halifax. At the maritime museum, I learned about the huge explosion in Halifax harbor when a ship carrying wartime explosives collided with a another ship in 1917 killing about 2000 people and injuring 9000. Devastating. And the museum shared about the Titanic as well. Nina was chalk full of knowledge about these events as well as the heritage buildings, churches and public gardens.

I added some photos of the group out for beers as we watched a Nova Scotia Maritime band, McGinty’s, play their classic tunes … fun!
